Economic development of the town centres has
been a Council priority for several years leading to the
establishment of the Town Centre Partnerships with officer and
member support provided to them. Newcastle Town Centre Partnership
(NTCP) has considered its medium to long term future and is seeking
the support of the local businesses to develop a sustainable
funding model to deliver the priorities of local businesses. It is
appropriate that Members are aware of the plans to establish a
Business Improvement District and the processes involved.
