Current ePetitions

An e-Petition is a petition which collects signatures online. This allows petitions and supporting information to be made available to a potentially much wider audience than a traditional paper based petition.

Anyone who lives, works or studies in the area can submit or sign an e-Petition.

Please note that we cannot accept petitions about issues where there is already a statutory process in place to deal with the issue in question. For instance, petitions about whether or not land should be built on or how it should be used, or what the council’s development policies should or shouldn’t say will not be accepted. This is because there is a separate statutory process through which these issues are determined, which includes public consultation opportunities. Please see the Council’s Local Development Scheme which is available from its Planning Policy pages here:- https://www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk/planning-policy.

E-Petitions are part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to listening to and acting on the views of the public.
