The Council currently has single supplier
software in place to support its Planning, Building Control, Asset
Management, Land Charges and Landscape services. These modules have
been added over the life of the existing contract and it is
therefore considered good practice, and in the interest of the
Council in demonstrating and obtaining best value, to review this
contract.
Given the high dependency of these services on the existing system,
and the complexity and cost of migration to another provider, ICT
intend to renegotiate the existing terms and costs with the current
supplier. Subject to an advantageous outcome of these negotiations,
ICT will seek Cabinet approval to enter into a new contract with
the current supplier.
