Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy 2014-19

Under Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Council is required to adopt and publish a Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy outling the process which it will follow to inspect its district for contaminated land, (within the meaning of the Act) and the process it will follow where land is found to be contmainated (within the meaning of the Act). This latest strategy takes acoount of recent statutory requirements in this area.

Consultation process

Consulation has taken place with the required statutory consultess including the, Environment Agency, English, Natural England, DEFRA and neighbouring local authorities. The Head of Planning Services and the Property Manager have also been invited to comment on the draft strategy.
