DISCLOSURE OF EXEMPT INFORMATION

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved:    That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following matter because it is likely that there would be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 contained within Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT - 1976 - APPLICANT 1

The Sub-Committee considered a relevant matter which fell outside of Council Policy. The applicant wasn’t in attendance and hadn’t sent any representative. After very careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows.

 

Resolved:     That the Dual Driver’s Licence and Private Hire Vehicle Licence be revoked.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT - 1976 - APPLICANT 2

The Sub-Committee considered a relevant matter which fell outside of Council Policy. The applicant and his legal representative were in attendance. After very careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer and representations from the applicant, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows.

 

Resolved:        That the application for a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence be refused.

The driver asked if this item could be deferred to the next meeting as their legal representative was unable to attend.

 

Resolved:    That the item be deferred to the 12th July 2023 meeting and be heard then with or without the driver and / or their legal representative in attendance.
