To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved:     That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following matter because of the likelihood of disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 contained within Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972.

The Sub-Committee considered an application for a private hire operator licence that had revealed a matter falling outside Council Policy.

After careful consideration of the officers’ report, the Department for Transport’s Statutory Standards and the Council’s policy and guidelines, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows.

Resolved:     That the private hire operator licence be granted.

The Sub-Committee considered an application involving a relevant conviction received by an existing Dual Driver Licence holder.

After careful consideration of the officers’ report, the Department for Transport’s Statutory Standards and the Council’s policy and guidelines, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows.

Resolved:     1. That the current Dual Driver Licence be suspended for 3 weeks.

2. That a Disability Awareness and Medical Exemption be completed by the driver prior to the licence being returned.

The Sub-Committee considered a relevant matter concerning the conduct and compliance history received by a current Dual Driver Licence holder.

After careful consideration of the officers’ report, the Department for Transport’s Statutory Standards and the Council’s policy and guidelines, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows.

Resolved:     That the Dual Driver Licence be revoked.

The Sub-Committee considered a new application received for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence that had revealed a matter falling within the Council’s Licensing Policy.

Resolved:     That the decision be deferred to the next meeting of the Sub-Committee scheduled on 7^th July 2026.

To consider any business which is urgent within the meaning of Section 100(B)4 of the Local Government Act.
