To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved:              That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following matter because it was likely that there would be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 contained within Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972.

The case was adjourned to the next meeting of the subcommittee.

The Sub-Committee considered a relevant matter which fell outside of Council Policy. The applicant was in attendance.

After careful consideration of the application along with the Department for Transport’s Statutory Standards and the Council’s policy and guidelines, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows.

Resolved:    That the Private Hire Operator Licence be granted under two conditions:

-        that the applicant retains the current business model of chauffeuring and executive work;

-        that the applicant remains as a sole trader and does not employ other drivers under the operator’s licence to carry out the work.

To consider any business which is urgent within the meaning of Section 100(B)4 of the Local Government Act.
