DISCLOSURE OF EXEMPT INFORMATION

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

As the Driver, GSR was not in attendance the Committee agreed to defer the application to the next meeting. Failure to attend a second time could result in the application being considered in GSR‘s absence.

The Driver, HK was not in attendance and already had three warnings for non-submission of information.  Members agreed to consider the report in HK’s absence.

 

The Sub-Committee had been told about HK’s conduct on several occasions.  The current licence would expire in December, 2020.

 

Resolved:     That HK’s Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s

Licence be suspended for a period of two months.  Any application to renew the Licence is to be brought back to the Sub-Committee for consideration.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver - MB

The Sub-Committee considered an application by MB for renewal of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence.  The application had revealed a conviction that fell within the Council’s guidelines for the relevance of convictions.

 

The applicant was represented by GC who addressed the Committee on his behalf.  MB gave an account of the circumstances of the conviction which was accepted by the Committee. 

 

Resolved:     That the application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire

Driver’s Licence for MB be granted together with a warning as future conduct.

 

 

7.

URGENT BUSINESS

To consider any business which is urgent within the meaning of Section 100(B)4 of the Local Government Act.
