DISCLOSURE OF EXEMPT INFORMATION

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

consideration of the following matters because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1,2 and 7 contained within Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT - 1976 - APPLICANT 1

The Sub-Committee considered a new application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence that fell outside the Council Policy.

 

After very careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer and representations from the driver and their representative the Sub-Committee agreed as follows:

 

Resolved: that the Dual Driver’s licence be granted subject to the Driver successfully passing the Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council’s Knowledge Test.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT - 1976 - APPLICANT 2

The Sub-Committee considered an issue relating to a current Dual licensed driver who had notified the council of a relevant conviction. 

 

After very careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer and representations from the applicant and their representative, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows:

 

Resolved: that the licence be suspended for a period of 3 weeks.
