Minutes:

The Sub Committee considered the question of whether a renewal application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence should be granted.

The question arose because it had come to the Council’s attention during the application process that the applicant had a number of convictions over a period of years; these being matters that fell within the Council’s guidelines for the relevance of convictions.

After very careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officers and representations from the applicant and his representative, the Sub Committee agreed as follows:

Resolved: that the application for the renewal of a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence be refused.
