Minutes: The Sub-Committee considered the question of whether a renewal application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence should be granted.
The question arose as the applicant had previously been granted a temporary licence to enable him to take a course to improve his English language skills and then return to the Sub-Committee to demonstrate better understanding of the English language.
After careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer and representations from the applicant, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows:
Resolved: that the application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence be granted for a 3 year period. |

Minutes: The Sub-Committee considered the question of whether a renewal application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence should be granted.
The question arose because it had come to the Council’s attention during the application process that the applicant had a conviction that was a matter that fell within the Council’s guidelines for the relevance of convictions.
After very careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer and representations from the applicant and his representative, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows:
Resolved: that the application for the renewal of a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence be refused. |
