DISCLOSURE OF EXEMPT INFORMATION

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved:-                That the public be excluded from the meeting during

consideration if the following matter because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1,2 and 7 contained within Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – KM

The Committee considered a report regarding a relevant conviction received by a current Private Hire Vehicle licence holder and Dual Drivers Licence belonging to Mr KM.

 

The conviction related to a driving incident and illicit use of the licensed vehicle.

 

Mr KM was represented by Mr MB.  Both gentlemen addressed the Committee and the information was considered by the Members.

 

Resolved:     (i)         That, in accordance with the Council’s Policy and

Guidelines, Mr KM’s Private Hire Vehicle Licence be

revoked.

 

(ii)        That, in accordance with the Council’s Policy and

Guidelines and in the interest of public safety, Mr KM’s Dual Driver’s Licence be revoked.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – MJ and MJ

The Committee considered a report regarding an application for the renewal of a Private Hire Vehicle Licence by Mr MJ.

 

Mr MJ was represented by Mr AS who spoke on his behalf.

 

The application had been made as a joint one and the other driver’s DBS check had revealed a caution involving bad behaviour.

 

Consideration was given to the transferring the vehicle over to the sole ownership of Mr MoJ.

 

Resolved:     That, subject to the receipt of details confirming the sole

ownership of the vehicle by Mr MoJ, through the transfer of ownership, the Private Hire Vehicle Licence be granted.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver - SH

The Committee considered a report regarding an application for the renewal of a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence by Mr SH.

 

The application had revealed convictions which fell within the Council’s guidelines for the relevance of convictions relating to a driving incident and illicit use of a licenced vehicle.

 

Mr SH was represented by Mr AS who spoke on his behalf.

 

Resolved:     That, in accordance with the Council’s Policy and

Guidelines and in the interest of public safety, the application for a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence by Mr SH be refused.

To consider any business which is urgent within the meaning of Section 100(B)4 of the Local Government Act.
