DISCLOSURE OF EXEMPT INFORMATION

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved:-                That the public be excluded from the meeting during

consideration if the following matter because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1,2 and 7 contained within Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – Mr IM

The Committee considered a report regarding offences committed by Mr IM.

 

Mr IM was accompanied by a legal representative who addressed the Committee.

 

Mr IM had committed the offence due to a ‘momentary lapse of judgement’ and was remorseful and apologetic. 

 

Resolved:     That, Mr IM’s licence be allowed to continue but that he

be issued with a strong written warning as to his future conduct.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – Mr MJK

The Committee considered a report regarding offences committed by Mr MJK.

 

Mr MJK was given the opportunity to address the Committee.

 

Mr MJK gave an explanation of the offence which was accepted by the Committee.   

 

Resolved:     That, Mr MJK’s licence be allowed to continue but that he

be issued with a strong written warning as to his future conduct.

Mr SK was accompanied by a friend but spoke on his own behalf.

 

Mr SK gave an explanation of the offence which was accepted by the Committee.   

 

Resolved:     That, Mr SK’s licence be allowed to continue but that he

be issued with a strong written warning as to his future conduct.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – Mr MAB

The Committee considered an application from Mr MAB for a new Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle licence.

 

Mr MAB was represented by a friend but answered questions directed at himself.

 

Mr MAB gave an explanation of the offences which were accepted by the Committee.

 

Resolved:     That Mr MAB be granted a licence for a 12 month period with a warning as to his future conduct. If there are no further issues, the licence would be extended administratively for a further two years.
