NEW APPLICATIONS RECEIVED pdf icon PDF 21 KB

To make observations on new applications received.

Additional documents:

Minutes:

Resolved:           That the following observations be made on the applications listed below:-

181 Holloway Lane, Aston  23/00799/LBC

No objections and fully support the scheme and good intentions of the owners.

Town House Farm, Audley  23/00806/FUL & 23/00807/LBC

This farmhouse is clearly neglected but has retained some quality and features of interest.  The group accepts that the cottage was already ruinous and following the unauthorised works has lost its authenticity.  These wrongs should be put right within the farmhouse including removal of the upvc conservatory, the reinstatement of timber windows on the whole building and ensure that the building is in a proper state of repair for any future custodians.

The Old Swan, Madeley Heath  23/00790/FUL

The group has concerns about possible harmful servicing and signage and seating which will accompany this proposal so that its real impact cannot be fully considered.

Butterton Grange Farm, Trentham Road,  23/00698/LBC & 23/00567/FUL

Essentially this scheme is acceptable in principle but the roof trusses should be retained as an important part of the significance of the complex. This will then inform and enable a more appropriate design, splitting the units up properly to get different sizes of dwellings and use of space.

58 High Street, Newcastle  23/00733/FUL

On balance most of the group preferred the amended shop front which retained the side arches rather than incorporate them into the signage given this would probably be shiny in appearance.

St Marys Primary School, Church Lane, Mucklestone  23/00777/FUL

No objections.
