To receive the decisions of applications which have been previously considered by this Working Party

Minutes:

197 High Street, Silverdale 22/01078/FUL

Members of the working party were glad that their initial concerns had been taken into consideration, however concerns were raised that CAWP and Silverdale Parish Council had not been informed of the amended scheme.

Resolved:     That the report on the decision on applications previously considered by the Working Party be received.

NEW APPLICATIONS RECEIVED pdf icon PDF 12 KB

To make observations on new applications received.

Additional documents:

Minutes:

Resolved:     That the following observations be made on the applications listed below:

Hanover Dental Practice, Brunswick Street, Newcastle  23/00439/LBC

The working party noted that the submitted Heritage Statement failed to describe the significance of the heritage assets affected by the proposal and therefore the proposal was not in compliance with national policy. No further comments could be provided on the scheme without a detailed heritage statement accompanying the application.

Castle Hill, 2 Nantwich Road, 22/00589/FUL

Concerns were shared by the working party that the replacement windows had resulted in a harmful impact to the quality of the building and the wider Conservation Area. It was largely agreed that the side facing windows were less harmful but that the windows on the front elevation were not appropriate and had resulted in identifiable harm.

The majority of the working party agreed that permission could be given subject to a condition requiring that the front windows either be put back to their original style, or redesigned to a more appropriate arrangement.
