To consider any applications for financial assistance from the Conservation and Heritage Fund which may have been brought to this meeting by the officer

Minutes:

181 Holloway Lane, Aston

The Working Party supports this application for grant and welcomes the additional condition to have provision for the application repaying the grant if interest in the land is disposed of within 2 years of the payment of the grant, even if this option is discretionary.  The Working Party also proposes that all future grants have such a condition within the decision notice.

Bradwall House, 16-18 King Street, Newcastle

The Working Party supports the grant for the windows at Bradwall House subject to the glazing bars being as slim as possible.  With reference to the grant above it also considers that given the new occupant is a business enterprise that the same condition should apply to this grant, in case the business is not successful, and indeed to all future grants, that the grant is repayable if interest in the land is disposed of within 2 years of the payment of the grant.
