New Applications Received PDF 41 KB To make observations on new applications received. Additional documents:
Minutes: Resolved:- That the following observations be made on the applications listed below:-
Butterton Grange, Trentham Road, Acton. 17/00898/COU
The Working Party encourages the applicant to commission and submit a specialised assessment of the historic interest of the buildings, which are the subject of this application. It is possible that the buildings are the same age as the Grade II* Listed Farmhouse and so may also be by Sir John Soane, which would mean that they are very rare.
The Working Party noted that an application for listed building consent has been requested and that further information regarding any internal works required will need to be submitted in support of that application. They deferred making comment until the additional information has been received.
Land to rear of Old Post Office, Main Road, Betley. 17/00919/FUL
The Working Party has no objections but suggests that plain clay tiles should be considered and noted that clay tiles are likely to perform better given the shallowness of the roof pitch.
3 Station Drive, Keele 17/00775/FUL
The Working Party considers that the extension should be more subordinate to the original building than currently proposed, requiring a reduction in its width, an increased set back from the front elevation and a lower ridge height. They welcomed the removal of the bay window but noted that this has resulted in attention being drawn to the first floor en-suite and family bathroom windows, the proportions of which do not reflect the proportions of the original windows.
