Minutes:

A report was submitted seeking the Committees support to adopt updated licensing standards for catteries.

 

Resolved:

 

That the Council adopt the CIEH 2013 Standard in full for all new businesses, require existing business to comply with practice and procedural elements, but accept compliance with the 1999 standard for existing structures where refurbishment is not viable. Refurbishment of accommodation in line with the CIEH 2013 standard would be required if the ownership of the business changes.

A report was submitted to advise the Committee of the action taken in respect of Littering offences within the borough.

7.

Training for Safeguarding for Children pdf icon PDF 100 KB

Report to follow.

Minutes:

A report was submitted requesting permission to consult with all licenced hackney carriage and private hire drivers regarding the introduction of compulsory awareness training in relation to Safeguarding and Child Sexual Exploitation.

 

Resolved:

 

a)         That a consultation letter be sent to all drivers regarding the introduction of compulsory awareness training for safeguarding and CSE.

 

b)         That there be a 4 week consultation period ending

 

c)         That a report be brought back to this Committee on 3rd November regarding the outcome of the consultation.

Urgent Business

To consider any business which is urgent within the meaning of Section 100(B)4 of the Local Government Act.
