DISCLOSURE OF EXEMPT INFORMATION

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved: that the application be deferred to enable the applicant the opportunity to attend the meeting.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT - 1976 - APPLICANT 2

The Sub-Committee considered a new application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence.  The application was before the Sub-Committee as the application process had revealed a matter that fell outside the Council’s Licensing Policy.

 

After careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer and representations from the applicant and their representative, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows:

 

Resolved: that the application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s licence be granted subject to the applicant taking and passing the Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council Knowledge Test and the submission of a Statutory Declaration that the applicant did not commit any offences nor was involved in any criminal incidences while they were out of the country.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT - 1976 - APPLICANT 3

The Sub-Committee consider a renewal application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence.  The application was before the Sub-Committee as the application process had revealed a conviction and other matters that fell within the Council’s Licensing Policy.

 

After careful consideration of information from the Council’s Licensing Officer and representations from the applicant, the Sub-Committee agreed as follows:

 

Resolved: that the applicant be issued with a final warning.
