DISCLOSURE OF EXEMPT INFORMATION

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved:     That the public be excluded from the meeting during

consideration of the following matter because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1,2 and 7 contained within Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – Mr QK

The Committee considered a report regarding an incident involving Mr QK.

 

Mr QK was accompanied by a legal representative but addressed the Committee himself. 

 

Mr QK stated that he was speeding but was not carrying any passengers.

 

 

Resolved:     That a strong written warning be issued as to Mr QK’s future

conduct.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – Mr AAM

The Committee considered a report regarding a new application for a Dual Driver’s Licence by Mr AM.

 

Mr AM was given the opportunity to address the Committee.   

 

Mr AM stated that he had been driving a vehicle with excess alcohol and that it was a friend’s car which he had been asked to drive. 

 

 

Resolved:     That, in view of the nature and seriousness of convictions, the Committee, having considered those circumstances and taken into account its policy guidelines, refused Mr AM’s application.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – Mr FM

The Committee considered a report regarding a new driver application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr FM.

 

Mr FM was accompanied by a friend but addressed the Committee himself.

 

Mr FM explained that one of the convictions related to a domestic incident.

 

Resolved:     That, the Committee, having considered the circumstances, felt

no reason to depart from the Council’s policy and guidelines and refused Mr FM’s application.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Driver – Mr FS

The Committee considered a report regarding a new driver application for a Dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr FS.

 

Mr FS was given the opportunity to address the Committee.

 

Mr FS stated that he was driving his wife’s car at the time of the incident.

 

Resolved:     That, the Committee, having considered the circumstances, felt

no reason to depart from the Council’s policy and guidelines and refused Mr FS’s application.

Resolved:     That Mr MW’s application be deferred to a future meeting.
