Additional documents:

Minutes:

Resolved:-That the following observations be made on the applications listed below:-

Park Manor, Butterton 17/00674/FUL

The Working Party for consistency have the same comments as per the previous application.

Eastcote, Main Road, Betley  17/00768/FUL

No objections.

3 Station Drive, Keele  17/00775/FUL

Station House is a well preserved station master’s house – hence its status as a locally listed building, particularly in terms of its visual appearance from the front elevation.  The Working Party welcomes the attention to detail and willingness to match the materials which should be commended but the proposal doubles the size of the property from this principal view which is harmful to its significance as the modest station house.  The Working Party would prefer an extension to be to the rear where the impact would have less impact on the special character of this building.

Offley Arms, Poolside, Madeley  17/00798/FUL

No objections.

Maxims, Lower Street, Newcastle  17/00799/LBC & 17/00796/ADV

The Working Party objects to the two signs on Maxims as harmful to the character and appearance of the listed building, none of the signs bear any reflection to one another and the materials, logos and internal illumination are inappropriate and contrary to the policy and SPD.  They would prefer  better designed higher quality signs and the heritage gallery sign ideally should be flat on the wall.  It is anticipated that the height of the proposed hanging sign would also be dangerous.  They object the Belong sign at ground floor on the main entrance but are happy with the high level sign which has individually applied letters.  More coordination is required for the whole signage.  Totems are generally acceptable but would prefer just the logo to be green and not the lower half of the sign.

7 King Street, Newcastle   17/00800/FUL & 17/801/LBC

No objections.
