14/00569/FUL

Former exchange, Wilbrahams Walk, Audley

The Working Party felt that there would be a visual impact on the Conservation Area, but that it would not be harmful to its character or appearance. It requested that the plaque be retained and erected on the refurbished building.

The Working Party is very concerned about the number of signs around the campus for this one shop/business especially as the signs are retrospective.  It strongly objects to the pole mounted sign and the sign on the bus shelter as no other shops advertise on the roundabout and in these locations and it adds to the signage clutter on sensitive campus environment.  It thinks that the two fascia signs are unnecessary and strongly objects to the signs on the dedicated parking bays because they have a harmful impact on the setting of the Listed Chapel from this view and should be removed.

6.

Urgent Business

To consider any business which is urgent within the meaning of Section 100B(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972.

Minutes:

The officer presented amended plans for application 15/00520/FUL at Hassell Street.  The Working Party felt that the scheme was much improved from the previous scheme and were happy with the amendments.

Resolved:              That the information be received.
