Comments

14/00099/FUL

12 Station Road, Madeley

The Working Party has no objections to the extension and the garage providing the details of the new build match the house and that a close eye is kept on the specification, for eg the Bellmouth eaves should match and need to ensure the existing house is made good following the demolition of the side extension (any brickwork repairs).  Fenestration should match in terms of style and materials and garage doors should be timber side opening doors.

15/00241/DEEM3

The Midway car park, Newcastle

The Working Party has no objections in principle but has concern that if additional strengthening piers are required on the top floor this will be more obtrusive and requests that the engineers consider this matter.

Schoolroom attached to The Croft, Main Road, Betley

Huxley Building, Keele University

The Working Party has no objection in principle to the amended design which they feel is sympathetic and imaginative, including the front steps and modified doorway but feel care is required to the detail ensuring the valley to the new extension is maintained and the rainwater egress over the glazed roof section is considered.

The Working Party felt that even though the scale of the new extension was considerable, there will not be a harmful impact of the Historic Park and Garden.
