The Working Party supports the improvement to the frontage at ground floor but has concerns with the design of the new shop fronts in terms of how they balance with the architectural features of the upper floors, and particularly the projection of the central bay.  More thought should be given to the overall design to reflect the important façade of the upper floors and preferably have 2 central doorways as concerns were raised with the success of the recess visually and practically.
