Resolved:              That the minutes of the meeting held on 15 March, 2016 be agreed as a correct record.

Disclosure of Exempt Information

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the attached report, because it is likely that there will be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Hackney Carriage Driver – Mr TM

The Committee considered a report regarding a complaint against a Private Hire Driver – Mr TM.

 

Mr TM was given the opportunity to address the Committee.

 

Resolved:    That Mr TM be given a formal written warning in respect of future behaviour.

Hackney Carriage Driver – Mr ABK

The Committee considered a report regarding a complaint made against a Hackney Carriage Driver Mr ABK.

 

Mr ABK was not in attendance.

 

Resolved:    That the item be deferred to the June meeting.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Private Hire Driver – Mr GSJ

The Committee considered a report advising of a conviction imposed on Private Hire Driver, Mr GSJ.

 

Mr GSJ was given the opportunity to address the Committee.

 

Resolved:    That Mr GSJ’s Private Hire Driver’s Licence be suspended for a period of one month.

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act - 1976

Private Hire Driver – Mr MS

The Committee considered a report advising of a conviction imposed upon Private Hire Driver, Mr MS.

 

Mr MS was given the opportunity to address the Committee.

 

Resolved:    That the Private Hire Drivers Licence for Mr MS be suspended for a period of six months during which time Mr MS should contact the Council’s Licensing Officer regarding issues raised at the meeting.

Hackney Carriage Driver –Mr AQ

Consideration was given to a report in respect of the conduct of a Hackney Carriage Driver Mr AQ.

 

Mr AQ was given the opportunity to address the Committee.

 

Resolved:    That the Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence, held by Mr AQ be revoked.

9.

Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005. Enforcement of Dog Control Orders pdf icon PDF 72 KB

Minutes:

A report was submitted seeking the Committees approval to take enforcement action in respect of a breach of a Dog Control Order.

 

Resolved:     (i)       That a Fixed Penalty Notice be not retrospectively

offered.

(ii)       That a criminal prosecution be brought against the

identified defendant in the Magistrate’s Court

(iii)      That the offence of failing to provide name and address

details to an authorised officer be also prosecuted as part of the court proceedings.

Consideration was given to a report advising Members of the commencement of the Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2015.

 

Resolved:    That the report be received.
